How does provider review work?

A licensed provider reviews that intake against your order and decides whether to approve, adjust, or decline the request. No prescription product ships without a provider's documented approval, and every decision is audit-logged.

How do I select a dosage?

Each product page shows its available strengths — or a dose slider for titratable compounds — with exact pricing for each. You pick the strength when you add the product to your cart. Your selection is a request, not a final prescription: the reviewing provider confirms whether that strength is appropriate based on your intake.

Can I choose my exact dose?

Yes. Titratable compounds — marked with an "Adjustable dose" badge in the catalog — have a stepped dose slider on their product page, priced live at every step, so you request precisely the concentration you want (for example, anywhere from 2.5 to 20 mg/mL of Tirzepatide). Everything else offers fixed strengths you pick from. In both cases the reviewing provider confirms the dose is appropriate before anything ships.

What is the difference between compounded and FDA-approved medications?

FDA-approved medications are commercially manufactured products that have gone through the FDA's approval process. Compounded medications are prepared by licensed pharmacies for an individual patient and are not themselves FDA-approved, although the pharmacies that prepare them are regulated. Each catalog listing clearly states which category it belongs to so you know exactly what you are requesting.

Who fills my prescription?

Approved orders are prepared and shipped by licensed U.S. pharmacies — 503A compounding pharmacies for custom formulations and 503B outsourcing facilities that follow cGMP standards for sterile products. Once a provider approves your order, the prescription is transmitted to the pharmacy electronically and securely.

What happens if a provider declines my request?

If the reviewing provider determines the requested product is not appropriate for you, the order is cancelled and you receive a full refund — including shipping. You are never charged for medication that a provider does not approve.

Can I change my dosage later?

Accepted Answer

Yes — but dosage changes follow the same process as a new order. You select the new strength from the catalog, check out, and complete an updated intake. A licensed provider reviews the change before anything ships. Dosage adjustments are never automatic.

How long does delivery take?

Once a provider approves your order, the pharmacy typically dispenses and ships it within 1–2 business days, and delivery typically takes another 3–5 business days from shipment. Provider review itself isn't on a fixed clock — a licensed clinician reviews every intake individually — so these windows start at approval, not at checkout.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is a flat $9.95 per order. Orders of $200 or more ship free. There are no membership fees or hidden handling charges — the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

Why is a product unavailable in my state?

Prescription products can only be offered where the platform and its providers are permitted to operate. We enforce state eligibility at checkout: if a treatment is not available in your state, you will not be able to order it. Availability can change as licensing coverage expands.

Do you accept insurance?

Accepted Answer

No — OpenDoseRx is cash-pay. We don't bill insurance, and there are no membership or visit fees on top of the listed price: the price you see at checkout is the full cost of your treatment and shipping.

When am I charged?

You pay at checkout, before provider review — payment is what opens your order for a clinical decision. If the reviewing provider declines your request, the order is cancelled and refunded in full, including shipping, automatically. Refunds for declined requests are initiated within 1 business day of the decision; your bank or card issuer may then take 5–10 business days to post the credit.

Can I cancel an order before it ships?

Yes — any order can be cancelled for a full refund at any point before it ships, including while it's still awaiting provider review. Email support@opendoserx.com with your order number; cancellation refunds are initiated within 2 business days of your request. Once prescription medication has been dispensed and shipped, it can't be returned or refunded.

How do reorders work?

Reordering follows the same path as your first order: choose your strength, check out, and complete the medical intake again so the reviewing provider is working from current information. A licensed provider reviews every new Rx order before it ships — refills are never automatic.

How do I delete my account or my data?

Accepted Answer

Email privacy@opendoserx.com. We'll verify your identity, then delete the personal information we hold — except records that must be retained, such as health intakes tied to a provider review, which fall under medical records retention rules. Full details are in our privacy policy.

Is my medical intake private?

Accepted Answer

Your intake responses are used for one purpose: provider review of your order. Access is limited to the licensed provider reviewing your request and the systems needed to process it, and every access and decision is audit-logged. We do not sell intake data.

Is my payment information secure?

Accepted Answer

When you pay by card, the payment is processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. Card details go directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection, and OpenDoseRx never sees or stores your full card number. Note that OpenDoseRx is currently a development prototype running in test mode, so no real charges are processed at this time.
